Getting Started at MATS

Thank you for considering Myers Assessment and Therapeutic Services (MATS). We are committed to making your journey to ABA services as clear and smooth as possible.

Step 1: Initial Inquiry

Contact us to begin your journey:

We Discuss: Child's needs, family goals, available programs, insurance coverage, and timeline.

Step 2: Documentation Submission

Required for Insurance Assessment Authorization:

What's Next: Our team reviews and submits the Assessment Authorization request to your insurance provider.

Step 3: Assessment (Typical Approval: 7-10 days)

The BCBA Assessment Process (Completed over 2 weeks):

  • Activities: Child appointments, parent interviews, observations, and skills assessment.
  • Purpose: To create a personalized treatment plan based on your child's strengths and needs.

Step 4: Treatment Authorization (Up to 30 days)

The treatment plan is submitted to your insurance provider.

Timeline: Can take up to 30 days. Our team will provide consistent updates.

  • Includes: Personalized goals, recommended therapy hours, treatment setting, and intervention strategies.

Step 5: Schedule & Begin Services

Once approved, we coordinate a schedule that fits your family's needs.

Your Personalized Schedule Includes:Days, times, location (clinic, home, school), assigned BCBA/RBT team, and parent training sessions.

Important Note:

The treatment setting (EIBI, clinic, home, etc.) is a crucial clinical decision made by the BCBA for your child's success.
